Dr. Thomas Atwood, who received his PhD in Electrical Engineering (advised by Prof. Christodoulou) from the ECE department at UNM has been appointed the technical director of the Air Force Operationally Responsive Space office. The ORS Technical Director serves as the principal scientific/technical advisor to the ORS Director and helps manage the day-to-day technical activities of the 40-person ORS Office, including joint service military and civilian personnel, liaison officers, and support contractors. Guides in-house core ORS technology programs and resources and coordinates ORS efforts with related S&T efforts across the community. Congrats to Dr. Atwood!

ECE student Joshua Trujillo was recently selected for the prestigious Honeywell Federal Manufacturing & Technologies (FM&T) Technical Fellowship Program. The Technical Fellowship Program at Honeywell allows employees to earn a Master’s or Ph.D. degree in a science or engineering discipline identified as a technical gap, while enabling employees to meet their educational development needs.
